SMEDA would like to invite all vloggers / photographers who are attending the ‘Festival of the North’ in Gilgit Baltistan from 20th – 23rd October, 2022 to enter the Photography Contest. It’s not necessary to be a mountaineer or geologist to appreciate the beauty of mountains, nature, and other civilizations. Over thousands of years, humankind has either marveled at, revered, or sought to subdue them. Now is the time to capture them through your lens as their sheer magnificence is more than enough to inspire creative expression in any photographer.

 

We invite you to share your best photos showing your best shots depicting how you capture a true essence of the whole festival in general and of the region in particular.

 

CATEGORIES:

  1. Natural Landscape
  2. Local Art and Culture
  3. Local Food
  4. Festival Area

 

AWARD:

  • Winning participants in each category will get a chance to win Rs. 5,000 and their photos will be displayed in SMEDA’s online gallery with photo credits.
  • Images may also appear in future issues of SMEDA’s publications to promote future events.

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND COMPETITION DATES:

  • Only for visitors who visit the festival and register for the competition.
  • Only ‘Festival’ and ‘Gojal Valley’ photos can qualify for the competition.
  • The competition will be open from 20th October 2022 to 29th October 2022
  • Last date for entries submission is 30th October 2022
  • The winners will be announced on 2nd November 2022

 

RULES:

  • Share your best images in the above-mentioned categories.
  • Only ONE image per category is allowed.
  • Pictures should be of High Quality (1920 x 1080).

 

  • Entries will only be accepted through email events@smeda.org.pk along with the participant’s Name, Age and CNIC (in case of minor, parent/guardian CNIC will be accepted).
  • By entering, participants warrant that his or her entry materials are original and do not infringe any third party rights.
